Training Race Combined with seeing new Places in Australia and Enjoying the Wagga Family Time

I have arrived back from Geelong and went straight in to normal Noosa life which consists of swim/bike/run and coffee stops :-) Brad knows how I love racing and traveling so he had a surprise ready for me! Next week we fly back to Wagga to stay another two weeks in the 40 degree Wagga summer and we will race twice.

First week would be Temora tri in Brad's birth place, just one hour drive from Wagga and one week later we would drive to do the famous Husky tri in Husskison.

Two weeks in Wagga went fast, it is never boring there as Brad has a big family and so you can visit someone everyday or there is always some reason to celebrate something ;-) Training went good but I have struggled a bit with the hot and very dry conditions there. I had to laugh sometimes as I couldn't believe how hot it can be. It felt like someone would blow a hairdryer at you all the time. So I was very happy when I could do some of my run training in Brad's brother Jared's 'Wagga Workout gym' on the treadmill .

Temora Tri was my first country race in Australia but I was impressed how good it was organised. I enjoyed doing a non-drafting olympic distance race as a training day. (1st place)

Husky Tri: I was hoping for another easy training race, but few days before the race I saw Mel's name on the start list. We are friends so I messaged her telling her that I am looking forward to seeing her again, but not happy to be racing her again :-) I had to swim fast to earn as much time on Mel as possible and then ride alone and wait until she passed me :-). I was proud when Mel passed me at the 35km mark, I think that was better then in Geelong. On the run I felt good, but couldn't catch Mel., I finished in 2nd place.
